Day 527 - Color explosion

 ISO 200, 80mm, f/8.0, 1/100 sec

We made a fast trip to Portland today and just as we approached Salem, on the west side of the interstate I noticed field after field of iris in bloom. The color was amazing.

I had a pretty good idea about how to get back there and immediately followed the signs to Schreiner's Iris Gardens. I was not expecting what we walked in to. The color from the fields were amazing, the color in the display gardens were ... I have no words.

Sadly, today was the last day they were open, but they are definitely on my calendar for next year.

There must have been acres of display gardens. Each row different. I could not believe how beautiful it was.

I've only lived here for 20 years, how did I miss this?

BTW: Thanks for the tip - I'll keep Lightroom in mind when we (eventually) get the new computer. :)

  2. Wow, beautiful flowers!

Thanks for your comment, it helps me to learn of other dogs that have seizure and how they are doing. Luckily Zephyr only had the cluster seizures while he was at the neurology center. I can't imagine how scary that would be at home. I'm glad Flocko is doing well on the pheno. How much does he take? I had to increase to 45mg twice a day today because Zephyr had another seizure last night.

  3. The Iris are amazing. And the overcast light makes all the colors so vibrant. Nice!
