Day 273

ISO100, 135mm, f/2.8, 1/1250 sec.

Day 273 - Practice

Just happened to walk out toward the soccer fields while the men's team was practicing.

I don't have a clue what they are doing on the field, but I did rather enjoy the challenge of anticipating the where the ball was going.

Haven't really figured out the Al Servo mode on my camera yet, only know that I can take some really crappy pictures in it. So, today I just left it with the one focus point.

  2. Great action shot. Perfectly in focus despite the narrow DoF. Froze the action beautifully

  4. awesome shot! I know Al servo on my camera doesn't quite get it right and I get terrible shots. I read some where a lot of canon models have the same problem not sure about your model though.

  5. You'll need to adjust the AI servo sensitivity/speed, specify which priority you want in addition to how many AF points you want to track along also depending on what you're photographing.

There is no one size fit setting. Each type of event you're working will call for a combination of different settings.

You got a great selection of gear all you need now is to learn to extract the most out of them.
