Day 167 - Onion crop

Part of what makes living in the Willamette Valley so enchanting are all of the agricultural crops.

We are famous for pinot wines, strawberries, blueberries, marionberries, cherries... in fact, it was in our valley that the maraschino cherry came to be. The fresh fruit and vegetable season is awesome.

I took a quick drive out into the country today to look for fresh strawberries and found a crop of onions.

  1. I like this shot of onion stalks. Those buds atop the stalks looks interesting and looks similar to that of hard neck garlic.

  2. This is a great shot, and the sky contrasted with the colors of the stalks is fabulous.
